On 30 June, the Zebra Diagnosis Coalition held a workshop dedicated to launching its national studies that will be conducted over the coming months, in collaboration with national stakeholders across the European Union’s 27 Member States. These studies mark a key milestone in our Coalition’s development, building the evidence base needed for future advocacy work. The goal: to examine what diagnostic delays really mean for patients and healthcare systems.
In fact, the workshop built directly on our Coalition’s White Paper, published a week before, which uncovered seven barriers driving diagnostic delays across the different healthcare systems in Europe.
Moving from a European-level analysis to a national approach, the Coalition is being selective with itsupcoming national studies, focusing on countries and diseases where a clear question can be posed and where there’s a real opportunity to generate useful findings.
